A Heartfelt Farewell from Empathy in Mind

After serving the Edinburgh community as a peer-led support network, Empathy in Mind has officially closed its doors. Our mission was to provide a sanctuary for carers of people navigating mental health challenges, and we are incredibly proud of the safe, empathic space we maintained and the lasting impact made on those who joined our meetings.

The success of our sessions was driven by the heart and dedication of our facilitator, Linda MacLeod. We wish to publicly thank Linda for her years of commitment to our members. Her expertise in creating a nurturing, supportive, and enjoyable environment allowed many to find strength and clarity during difficult times. Linda's contribution to the wellbeing of carers in Edinburgh has been invaluable.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for their support over the years. Being able to meet at the Botanic Cottage provided our group with a peaceful and inspiring setting that was instrumental to the self-care and connection we fostered. We are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the community within such a beautiful, historic space and for the warm welcome we always received there.

Although Empathy in Mind is no longer active, the need for community support remains vital. We encourage anyone seeking assistance to reach out to the following established Edinburgh services:

We want to thank our partners, our supporters, and every individual who contributed to our journey. While this chapter has ended, we hope the spirit of empathy continues to thrive in our community.

With sincere thanks,

Empathy in Mind
